Devil SB2 Exhaust

May 2001 is when i took delivery of my Devil SB2 Hi-Mount Titanium 1/2 System.  The installation took about 4 hours.  I used a hack saw (with a new blade!), 8mm allen wrench & swivel socket extentions.

- Remove lower fairings, right passenger footpeg (8mm allen) & stock can.
- Remove stock mid-pipe (you will need socket extensions to disconnect from HTEV).
- Take special care with the HTEV gasket.
- I cut the stock midpipe just below the weld (see pic).
- Place the clamps on the mid-pipe BEFORE you start connecting the new one.
- Get help to attach the new SS mid-pipe (I had to SIT on mine!).
- Be careful not to scratch that shiny new SS.
- Attach the new mid-pipe assembly, again taking special care with the HTEV gasket.
- Attach the Devil can to the SS pipe & take EXTRA care when placing the clamp onto the can (leave the two connecting bolts loose for fine tuning).
- Replace your peg over the bracket using the supplied spacers & new bolts.
- There is a little 'play' in the new system to get it just right before you tighten.
- Don't forget the spring - Be Careful.
- I went into more detail here because the instructions were pretty bad.
